Tour one of California’s Premier Avocado Nurseries
Index Fresh is excited to invite you to tour North America’s premier avocado nursery, explore the sprawling avocado orchards, hear from the Brokaw team about their history, farming techniques, and unique varietals in testing. After the morning’s activities you will enjoy and enchanted lunch at a nearby ranch surrounded by avocado groves.
Nursery & Grove Tour Itinerary
8:30 am
Meet in the Ventura area, where a VIP SUV will transport the Target Team from your hotel to Brokaw Nursery & Ranch. The drive will take approximately 15 minutes.
8:45 – 9:45 am
Upon arrival, enjoy coffee and light refreshments beside the orchards. The Brokaw team will share the history of the nursery, avocado farming facts, and an overview of the day’s activities.
9:45 – 11:45 am
Experience an in‑depth tour to learn about rootstock development, breeding programs, and new varietals currently in testing through guided demonstrations and field discussions.
11:45 am – 12:00 pm
Following the tour, the Target Team will travel by SUV to nearby Lloyd‑Butler Ranch, a picturesque working avocado and lemon grove and estate .
12:00 – 1:30 pm
Savor an enchanted lunch hosted at Lloyd‑Butler Ranch, surrounded by avocado trees. The Index Fresh Team will share insights and experiences from the field.
1:30 – 2:15pm
After lunch, walk Lloyd-Butler Ranch's beautiful avocado groves and experience an in-depth harvest demo with insights from one of California's leading avocado growers.
2:15 – 2:30 pm
After lunch, the VIP SUV will return the Target Team to their hotel, concluding a memorable day of learning, connection, and California avocado exploration.

Lunch at Lloyd-Butler Ranch
Enjoy an enchanting lunch at the Lloyd-Butler ranch, nestled near a shaded grove with an expansive view of the orchards.
Transport & Logistics
A VIP SUV will pick you up at your hotel and transport you to Ventura County. The ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Following the tour, the SUV will return you to your hotel.
