Edgar Roman
Born in Mexico and raised in Orange County, Edgar joined the US Navy immediately after high school, proudly serving on board the now-decommissioned USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6).
He worked throughout various industries, including co-founding an aviation parts brokerage firm. But soon, the avocado industry came looking for him. He began his journey at Index Fresh in 2019 as an Avocado Buyer and has built and maintained sustainable business relationships throughout the sourcing network.
He earned a BA in Political Science from UC Riverside and a Doctorate in Psychology from Fielding Graduate. He enjoys casual walks through the labyrinth of avocado history, markets, and data, and teaching what he learns, to his team so we apply and grow stronger together.
