Peru

Avocados have been grown in Peru since pre Colombian times and are an important part of the national diet. Hass avocados thrive in the mild Peruvian coastal climate. They’re grown in a combination of natural river valleys and modern irrigation districts in areas ranging almost the entire length of Peru.

The Peruvian Hass season starts in May and extends into September, with peak availability in the summer months of June through August.
