Dana has spent over thirty-six years in the avocado business working in production, packing, sales, marketing and general management. He has served as President and CEO of Index Fresh since 1996.

Merrill has over 25 years experience in produce, having worked in the operations side of the business as well as the financial management. His career has ranged from loading and unloading trucks to managing the financial aspects of organizations in the public and private sectors.
He is a Certified Public Accountant with a membership in the American Institute of certified Public Accountants and a Global Certified Management Accountant. His certifications and practical experience have been supported by an advanced business degree and post graduate studies.
He has been with Index Fresh since 2005 as Chief Financial Officer.

Todd grew up in the produce business and began his career as a teenager, with his father in banana sales. Through the years, Todd has also sold avocados, Asian pears, grapes, kiwis, cantaloupes, stone fruits, mangoes and tomatoes. Todd is responsible for our day-to-day sales operations, as well as long-range planning and strategy. He has been with Index Fresh since 1996.

Giovanni’s great-grandparents came to California at the turn of the twentieth century and farmed in Santa Barbara County. He grew up on an avocado and lemon farm in Nipomo where he also leased and developed orchards. Giovanni worked as Index’s representative in Urapan and Michoacan, Mexico during the mid 1990s. He has served as an Index field representative and currently is Vice-President of Sourcing, traveling throughout the growing regions of California and Latin America. His practical experience is supported by advanced degrees in both agriculture and business. Giovanni’s understanding of agriculture, grower’s challenges and the greater avocado industry is a tremendous asset to growers and trading partners.

Luis has over 15 years of experience in the food industry. He has managed Demand Planning, Production and Distribution departments in small and large companies.

Nora joined Index Fresh in July of 2016. She brings over 20 years of experience in Human Resources management in manufacturing. In addition to Human Resources, Nora is experienced in Organizational Development, Health & Safety and Compliance.
Nora’s practical experience is supported by her business degree and certifications as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). As Director of Human Resources she is focused on the company’s commitment to nurture the growth of Index Fresh and its employees.
